Product Features

All Gallops, Greyhound, Harness races are catered for – bet into the highly profitable but often  ignored Overseas races

At the start of each day UBET needs to retrieve the information for all the races that you may want to bet into. You can specify just a particular race type (e.g. gallops)  or you can specify all race types. You can choose to exclude a particular meeting or race by ticking the Ex(clude)  box. You can then focus on just those races where you want to make bets.

Betting History – all the odds information that has been downloaded is retained within the UBET database. A typical runner will have at least 10 dividend updates within the last 5 minutes of race start time. All this information is faithfully recorded for future analysis.

Simulations – the UBET database provides a very powerful way of you being able to improve your betting performance. UBET provides the ability to run simulations against this database and reflect exactly what would have happened if this rule would have been executed in real time (say 20 secs before the race). This is made possible because of a very powerful feature called Time Travel where the odds of a runner at say 20 secs before start can be used in the simulation calculation. To have a UBET database containing every race run over the last 6 months is a very valuable asset. You can then use this database to test your system ideas and prove / disprove their profitability without outlaying any of your hard-earned money.

Overseas races – the Australian TABs are providing increased coverage of overseas races especially big race carnivals. It is understandable that any Aus runners running in these races are over-bet on the Aus TABs and consequently overseas runners are under-bet. Most of these races are run late at night (Aus time) and so many of these anomalies are not acted upon. Using UBET unattended betting gives you an advantage.

Win and Place betting using latest betting information from
TABs /  Bookies -  then submit bets at best odds available.

UBET provides the approximate win & place dividends on all races (gallops, harness and greyhounds)  that are covered by one or more Australian TABs.
The TAB websites used to extract the approximates are:
NSW (http://www.racetab.com.au)
VIC (http://www.racetab.com.au)
WA (https://www.ozbet.com.au/index.htm)
QLD (http://tabonline.com.au)

The Race Detail screen shows the dividends from the above TABs.  The Sum of the Odds (generally between 117% and 118%) and the Pool size are also shown. The Best Dividend available for each runner is shown along with the Best Sum of Odds (generally between 102% and 110%).
UBET allows seamless and simultaneous internet betting to 4 Australian TABs  The TABs enabled are: NSW, VIC (SuperTAB divvies) ,  QLD and TAS (SuperTAB divvies).  There is a facility to keep you continually logged in to the various TABs that you specify and by utilising the multi-channel capability  of an internet connection many different bets on many different TABs on an upcoming race can be placed simultaneously and all  within an elapsed time of 10 seconds !
Some of the TAB pools are co-mingles with other TABs :

  • NSW TAB is part of TABCorp but maintains its own independent pool.

  • SuperTAB  - VIC TAB is part of TABCorp and participate in the SuperTAB pool along with WA, TAS and ACT.  The reason that WA dividends are shown in UBET is that often WA divvies are more up to date than VIC. This can be seen by comparing the size of the pools at the same time-point.

  • UniTAB – QLD TAB is co-mingled with SA and NT and is generally the smallest of the 3 pools. However when betting on races being run in QLD, SA and NT,  knowing  the local dividends and their fluctuations is very important information

In addition Fixed Odds from one or more corporate bookie are display when available. This provides a good comparison between TAB dividends and what is actually being bet on-course.
The ability to identify on-course shorteners whilst sitting in the comfort of your lounge room is one of the most powerful features that UBET provides.

Exotic betting – Quinella, Exacta, Trifecta, FirstFours – caters for
NSW / VIC flexi betting and  QLD fraction betting

UBET allow both manual and unattended bet placement of Quinellas, Exactas, Trifectas and FirstFours. In each mode you can define a separate rule for including or excluding runners in each leg. So for FirstFours there are 4 runner rules to be defined, for Trifectas there are 3 rules and for Quinellas and Exactas just 2 rules.

Exotic bet size : if you want to restrict your outlay to a particular amount then enter your required amount in the Bet Amount box and tick FlexiBet. For FlexiBets the minimum percentage allowed is 1% of the declared dividend. FlexiBetting on QLD TAB is called Fraction betting and the same concepts apply.

Exotics vs. Place Bets : Any number of different exotics can be made in the same race. If you have an anchor bet in a race and you are sure it will run a place then often a exotic bet where the anchor runner is combined with other likely placegetters is a better bet that a straight place bet.

Preview potential bets using dynamic rules window – then one
click to submit actual bets.

One of the newer features of UBET is the ability to preview potential bets using the Rules window. Any rule that has been previously created in UBET Director can be opened in the Rules window by selecting it from the list provided.
As the latest approximate dividends become  available  click on Evaluate to re-calculate your potential bets. Additional functionality available :

  • In the upper part of the Rules window tick  the Exclude box to exclude any particular runner.

  • In the lower part of the Race Details window click the Include box to include a runner irrespective of the rule calculation. Clicking a second time will exclude the runner and clicking a third time the check box will revert back to be cleared and so no special action will be taken.

  • There is the capability to define Rule specific variables whose values can be modified on the fly to change the rule calculation process. For example you can specify a different base bet amount without having to change the rule permanently.
Finally, to convert potential bets into actual bets just click on the Submit Bets icon

Customise your Bet Size to optimise your profit – caters for
Dutchbook betting, Target Betting and Sequence betting

DutchBook betting : UBET incorporates DutchBook functionality (both Main and Saver bets) so you can “Bet To Prices” multiple runners in the same race.  The DutchBook function calculates the POT (Profit On Turnover) if any of the Main Bets win and allows you to add or remove runners until a satisfactory Profit On Turnover (POT) is obtained.  UBET  also identifies the best TAB available for each bet but allows you to override the TAB to use for actual bet placement.

Target Betting
: Whilst standard betting types on Fixed and Dutchbook are provided in manual mode UBET Director allow you to create a rule to define the bet size.  For example you may want to bet to take out a specific amount  based on the bookie’s price but place the bet on the TAB showing the best divvy. By using UBET Director virtually any bet size rule can be implemented.

Sequence Betting :
this is often referred to as  Progressive Staking as your next bet is calculated based on the outcomes of the previous bets made within the same sequence. Punters are still divided on whether this form of betting enhances or reduces their betting performance. Either way UBET can provide you with this capability. Staking Plans are described in more detail under its own heading.

Staking plans – bet to win $100 a day with auto stop when Target
Profit or max Loss is reached

UBET is capable of implementing virtually any type of sequence based Staking Plan. Sequence staking plans consist of a sequence of bets to be placed until the specified target is achieved. Calculation of the next bet is based on the size of the current bank.  Any number of staking plan banks can be defined. One of the simplest Staking Plans is to define a Target Profit of say $100 per day by setting the initial bank to say $2000 and stopping when the bank has increased to $2,100 or when it has reduced to less than $1,000.
Some other examples of Staking Plans are described below :

Winner In Three.
Each day signals the start of a new sequence. There are 3 bets that are selected with 2 substitutes. The substitutes are only used if one of the main 3 bets are scratched or return a zero-profit. As soon as one of the 3 bets returns a profit then the sequence is complete. If any of the 3 main bets are scratched then the 1st substitute becomes a bet (if not already run ; substitute bets that have already run would be shown as zero-profit) or if the 1st substitute can’t be bet then the 2nd substitute is tried. If it also can’t be bet then no more substitute bets are made.

The 6-point Divisor Plan.
The aim of the 6-Point Plan is to win 6 betting units every time you back a winner, or winners, whose odds total six. The target decides the bet size. You  deduct your profit from the target total after a win.

The Martingale Staking Plan
The objective is to win the Target Profit each time you win. First bet size is Target Profit divided by estimated odds.  If 1st bet loses then the size of 2nd bet is equal to the carried forward loss plus Target Profit divided by estimated odds.   When a win is achieved then revert back to 1st bet size irrespective of whether target profit was achieved.

The Fibonacci Progression Staking Plan
There are many variations on this staking plan but all use a Fibonacci sequence as the basis of a progressive staking plan. The required Fibonacci sequence can be defined using UBET’s User functions.

MinMax staking plan.

The bet size for the current bet is a function of the current bank size plus overall strike rate. Many pro punters believe this to be the simplest and most effective staking plan of all. If you are losing in the short term then you reduce your bet size. If you continue to loss in the long term then the bet size becomes smaller and smaller and hence it protects you from large proportional losses. On the other hand if your system wins in the long term then your bet size will gradually increase and so too will your profits.

Suites range of betting styles – from manual to bet-at-drop to
semi automatic to completely Unattended Betting.

Each punter has a different style of betting. Some prefer a more hands on approach where they want to manually assess all race  information and then place their bets manually just before the jump. Others prefer a set and forget approach where once they have defined their betting rules they want to leave the “hack” work to be done by their computer.

UBET caters for all ranges of betting styles :

  • Manual – create a bet by clicking on a runner’s name. Bets can then be submitted manually by clicking the Save and Submit icon.
  • Bet-At-Drop – this is similar to manual except bet placement can be delayed to just before the start and only submitted if the required odds are still available. Bet placement will occur automatically once the draft bet has been created.
  • Create your own rules using UBET Rules Director. Define what races, which runners and the bet size. Potential bets are displayed in the Rule window. Use manual overrides to either include or excluded particular runners. As the latest approximate dividends are available  click on Evaluate to re-calculate your potential bets. To convert potential bets into actual bets just click on the Submit Bets icon
  • Fully Automated – create your own rules as above using UBET Rules Director. Then specify a schedule for the submission of bets using UBET Director à Schedules

Create your own UBET rules – where your betting decisions are executed in mille-seconds

Rule director is without doubt the most unique and innovative feature of UBET. No other punting software anywhere in the world comes close to what UBET provides. The main components of UBET director are described below :

Rule Designer
: This allows you to define what races and runners the rule will apply e.g. you may only want to bet on gallop meetings where Fixed odds are present and only on runners that are in the first 5 of the betting. You then define which bets you want to lodge, how much , how many and where they are to be lodged (NSW, QLD, VIC or TAS).
User functions can be defined using Excel like expressions. For example  100 / DividendWin(“XYZ Fixed”)  will calculate the bet size to return $100 assuming the current XYZ Fixed Price odds is the best estimator of the runner’s final odds.

Rule Evaluation
: Once you have defined your rule you can evaluate it on the current race and immediate see the results of how it would have performed on that race. You can then widen the scope and include all races for that meeting … or that day … or  for the last week  … or month … or year.  Rule Evaluation is done in simulation mode which means that you don’t have to bet with real money to determine if your system is a winning one.  After evaluation the results are presented in easy to read reports where all relevant stats including Strike Rate & Profit / Loss are calculated.

Time Schedules
for executing rules is also provided. For example you can define a schedule to execute the same rule every 30 seconds for 3 minutes before race start time.
Once you have defined and tested your rules in simulation mode you can then enable the rule to run live.  In case there are still a few bugs in your rule there are further safe-guards provided by you having to define the earliest time (in seconds) before the race start that bets can be lodged and also the maximum bet size that can be made.
There is a comprehensive Bet Summary report that shows all bets lodged and has a separate section listing any bets that should have been lodged but failed due to whatever reason.

Summary :
It would take many more pages to describe in detail what UBET has to offer .. did we mention email alerts, comprehensive comments plus encrypted rule export / import capability  … but you would still not appreciate how powerful it is until you have witnessed it operating in real life.
